(Actually, I am not good when yelled at by friends, but I'll live. hahaha) No worries my friend, I'm sorry that offended you. If you see anything on the board that is offensive please let us know and don't hesitate to tell us. That is the last thing I want to do is offend someone. Carlie

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR This has happened before and it's one reason why I hate beta boards with no experienced techie people able to correct what should be minor problems. Lost at Sea Posts: 14275 (07/01/09 08:16 PM) Bureau Deputy Chief SOS=Struggle Overcome, Survive Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I use to have a lot of problems like that until I changed over to FireFox browser...it is still part of IE but different, I used Netscape when we first came to Yuku and I can't tell you how many problems I had, then I used IE and still had a lot of problems. So far with FireFox I haven't had any. Sometimes Yuku is doing maintenance and I can't get on but that is about it. Some browsers are just not compatible with beta but it seems like FireFox or Flock both owned and developed by IE are, both those browsers were developed after Netscape was bought out by IE and then closed, Netscape was to old of a browser and just didn't work with a lot of the newer stuff. I even had problems with the latest version of IE but I know a lot of people that have no problem with it I have no idea why I did.

It's faster and less problematic, but I can't get used to the look so I always go back to IE the next day when my IE problems have resolved. I'm one of those who hates, hates, hates, most change. I get used to the look and find it confusing to have to accustom myself to anything different. No "new and improved" anything for me if I can avoid it.

Oh I need to correct something Flock is an IE program, FireFox is a stand alone browser developed by Mozilla who I think also had Netscape Dave Hyatt and Blake Ross both worked on Netscape and they help to develop Fire Fox. I felt the same way but I got so tired of not being able to access my photobucket, or post a video or get the page to load up without waiting forever, and some of the controls we have here didn't work with IE. I finally forced my self to stay with FireFox now I am really use to it so it doesn't bother me. I mean if it had just been now and then I wouldn't have minded so much although I hate having problems when I am trying to work on something I could deal with it, but this was every time I turned around and not just with Yuku but other sites I would try to go to. I am usually a patient person but sometimes I just get really irritated when you keep getting thrown off a site or keep having problems with one.

It just works better. IE stopped responding to flash recently. It tells me I need Flash installed, but it is! Out of frustration, I started using Google Chrome for everything but Yuku. I like it so far.

In fact when I post a news article I just copy and past the picture along with the article with no problem. I have tried to copy and paste picture that didn't work but usually that is because they are protected from being copied.

Last weekend we did a town hall meeting and a summer concert. This 3-day holiday weekend we'll probably do a couple restaurants and maybe even a game of miniature golf, which we have not played in ages. Mostly we'll relax in our sofa recliner and enjoy some good rental movies. I had thought about doing a last minute overnighter somewhere but then figured the driving and hassle are just not worth it. Let everyone else do the traffic gridlock trying to get down to the shore one last time. That's just not us. If I have to decide between hours of driving versus hours of putting my feet up at home, I vote the home deal. We've done our share of domestic and foreign travel for many years. Being home now seems the greater luxury.

I was just looking outside this morning thinking how things are changing...it looks like fall is here and we have been having some really nice days, cool at night comfortable during the day. Leaves are starting to turn and colors are getting dull. This summer went way to fast but this is my kind of weather. Hope everyone has a safe weekend.

It was so peaceful and quiet, we can't hear any traffic, rarely do we get a plane going over, we do hear trains from time to time but they are off in the distance. The girls were sleeping in so it was me and the Cats. The Hummingbirds were fighting over the feeder so I watched them for awhile, I did walk to the pond by the house and watched the fish and listen to the waterfall for a bit, my son in-law put in two cement benches by the pond so I could sit and watch the fish, we have a new baby one, all our fish are gold except this one...it is black, my SIL named it Obama LOL but mostly I sat at the table and just enjoyed being outside. It was a nice start to the day.

My own area is somewhat like that (right down to the nearby farms with cows), but deceptively so, since the big city is a short distance away. I'm not much on sitting outside unless it is late October or early April. My own version of morning bliss is having a cup of freshly ground "Caribou" Columbian coffee while listening to "Soundscapes" meditative music and enjoying the comforts of home. Ahhhhhhh!
